Please join the New School for their second Currency and Empire Sawyer Seminar Event of the new year, featuring Professors Allan Lumba and Tinashe Nyamunda, who will lead a seminar discussion on the historical use of currency as a means of creating subjects and citizens. Professor Lumba will discuss his latest work on currency in American colonial Philippines and Professor Nyamunda will present work on currency in colonial south and central Africa.
